Cable Gland Features

Our Cable Gland range incorporates innovative features that along with safety, enable faster installation, facilitate inspectability of the Cable Gland in it's operable condition, prevent corrosion of the cable armour/braid and in some cases help to go beyond the requirement of merely having the appropriate certification. 	Patented Rear Sealing System One seal per Cable Gland size. No need for special seals. Seal range marked on the backnut. Only nine sizes of Cable Gland accept sizes up to 78mm diameter. The complete range accommodates cables from 5.5mm to 104.5mm diameter. High visibility / inspectability. Surpasses cable retention as set out by the ATEX directive. ip66, ip67, ip68 and Deluge (dts01) ingress protection. LSFZH properties. Ozone and oil resistant. Suitable for use at both high and low temperature extremes. Backnut can be hand tightened, facilitating speed of installation.
	Patented Reversible Armour Clamp Allows the same Cable Gland to terminate all armoured and braided cable types. Single Wire Armour. Braid. Tape Armour. Strip Armour. Armour/Braid range is stamped onto the component. Identification groove ensures correct installation orientation.
	Patented Diaphragm Seal Enables faster installation. Flameproof seal around the cable inner sheath without compressing the cable. The only failsafe method of complying with EN 60079-14 and IEC 60079-14, clause 9-1-3, when using cables having 'cold flow' characteristics. Failsafe inner gas seal on cable manufactured to IEC 60332 standards.
	Outer Deluge Seal ip66, ip67 and ip68 inspectable deluge seal certified by ITS to dts01. Exceeds the deluge requirements of the offshore industry. Prevents ingress of water into the Cable Gland that could corrode the cable armour / braid.
	Patented Inspectable Compound Chamber The pre-lubricated compound chamber can be removed once the compound has fully cured, allowing inspection of the compound. If required minor surface voids can be repaired in situ. Forms the compound as well as providing a flameproof seal, resulting in reduced piece parts. No longer a requirement to separate the seal from the compound chamber.
